Clients who book trips with Face Africa are looking for a genuine experience of the places they visit. They want to see highlights like Victoria Falls or Rwanda’s Gorillas in the Mist, but expect more from their trip than being shepherded from one highlight to another.
Many of our clients have travelled extensively and want to recapture the joys of that independent travel, but no longer have the time to plan and organise. Travelling with Face Africa means that they have the hassle taken out of travel but still get to experience that spontaneity and those chance encounters that so often get lost when joining an organised tour.

Founded in the UK in 2004, Face Africa Ltd also has an operating base in Cape Town (Face Africa Tours & Expeditions CC), from where we ensure that all of our trips run as they are supposed to. We operate all of our guided trips ourselves and are also linked to a network of professional local tour companies up and down the continent who provide additional backup. Because we are a Fair Trade company, we look after our suppliers as well as our clients – they won’t let us or you down.
As a company we carry a comprehensive Tour Operator insurance policy which is underwritten by Lloyds of London. In addition, we are members of International Passenger Protection (IPP) to comply with the UK Package Travel Regulations (1992). For every tour or holiday that you book, you will receive a certificate guaranteeing any monies paid to us. For more information about IPP, click here.
